OMNI Community Credit Union's Ed Mounce Nominated for SBA Award

BATTLE CREEK, Mich., December 7, 2009 –  OMNI Community Credit Union, Southwest Michigan’s premier financial institution, has announced Ed Mounce, Commercial Services Manager, has been nominated by the Regional Director of Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) of Western Michigan University for the Financial Services Champion of the Year award.

This award is a part of “Michigan Celebrates Small Business”, and is specifically dedicated to those individuals or organizations that advocate small business by increasing the availability of financial services.

“Ed has provided me with on-going guidance in bringing me up-to-date on the current lending environment and educating me on new programs being offered within the lending community,” said Tamara Davis, Regional Director of SBTDC of Western Michigan University.  “He has been instrumental throughout the past year in working with the MI-SBTDC Region 11 office in preparing and financing a number of both new and existing businesses throughout Southwest Michigan.”
