BATTLE CREEK, Mich., January 4, 2010 – Given these economic times, charitable organizations continue to have a great need for financial assistance.

OMNI Community Credit Union, Southwest Michigan’s premier financial institution, has announced it will be distributing $40,000 throughout the year through its “OMNI Gives Back” Grant program. Distributions through the grant program will be made to charitable organizations throughout Southwest Michigan.
“It’s been a challenging year for many charitable organizations that the support the communities of Southwest Michigan,” said Ted Parsons, CEO of OMNI Community Credit Union. “In 2008, we were nominated as the Elite Winner of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For and recognized for our community initiatives. We feel as though the “OMNI Gives Back” Grant continues this tradition by truly investing in the communities we serve, and demonstrating to Southwest Michigan that we are a local financial institution.”
