Three Rivers Area Mentoring Receives $2,500 OMNI Gives Back Grant
Press Release - 2010-07-27
OMNI Community Credit Union recently donated $2,500 to Three Rivers Area Mentoring (TRAM) through the “OMNI Gives Back” Grant program. TRAM was selected because of its focus on mentoring kids from the Three Rivers school district.  The contribution will be specifically used for a summer program that teaches money management and employment skills to those students who participate.

“On behalf of TRAM, we thank OMNI for this generous donation,” said Tom Lowry, Chairperson of Three Rivers Area Mentoring.  “These dollars will directly benefit the youth summer work program at the popcorn stand at Scidmore Park.  The youth that are involved in this program will learn employment skills that will benefit them in the future.”

"We are pleased to be of assistance in this critically important organization to the community of Three Rivers," said Ted Parsons, CEO of OMNI Community Credit Union.  "As an organization we have centered our philanthropic efforts on impacting the communities we serve through our “OMNI Gives Back” Grant program. Learning the proper employment and money management skills is fundamental to a prosperous future for these students.”

OMNI is now taking applications for the third installment of their grant program, and invites all charitable non-profit organizations to apply no later than August 1.
