Guardian Finance advisors travel to homes of local seniors, reviewing bills, creating budgets, balancing checkbooks and advocating on their behalf. The $1,500 OMNI Gives Back Grant will go to cover the service fee for local senior citizens who cannot afford the service.

"We feel fortunate indeed to partner with Omni Community Credit Union on this important program," Jackie De Haan, the agency's CEO states. "Every week we hear from more and more community members who are being taken advantage of by family members, friends, or local scams."
“Unfortunately, seniors fall victim to scams and do not realize it. It’s great to see an organization like Guardian. It’s a great program, helping our local seniors avoid this problem, while still allowing them to be independent,” said Ted Parsons, CEO of OMNI Community Credit Union. “OMNI is pleased to offer assistance to help our local seniors with financial stability.”
OMNI is now taking applications for the third installment of their grant program, and invites all charitable non-profit organizations to apply no later than August 1, 2010.
